The United States of America urged the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to review the cases of prisoners of conscience and take measures to stop the violations against them.
US Ambassador to the UN Human Rights Council, Michelle Taylor During the discussions of the second item of the 49th session in March 2022, it called on Saudi Arabia for the lifting of the travel ban and other restrictions imposed on women's rights activists who had been previously released.
Saudi Arabia had released a number of women activists and human rights defenders between February and March 2021, but it still prevents them from traveling and from engaging in any human rights activity.
